The Wako Switzerland Rüti Cup made its debut on December 1, 2024, bringing together 41 kickboxing clubs from across Switzerland. The tournament, which featured national title fights for both adults and juniors, provided a competitive platform for rising talents and experienced fighters alike.
Under the leadership of coach Cüneyt Günes, Gstaad Kickboxing Club delivered an outstanding performance. According to the club’s official statement, the team secured an impressive total of 16 medals, including:
- 4 gold,
- 4 silver,
- 8 bronze.
With this achievement, Gstaad Kickboxing became the most successful club from the canton of Bern. “The team delivered an extraordinary performance,” said coach Günes. On a national scale, the club finished in fifth place, showcasing its strength and determination.
The Rüti Cup also served as an opportunity to crown Swiss champions in various disciplines and honor successful international athletes. Organized by the Rüti Martial Arts School, the event hosted around 200 participants, making it a remarkable and competitive tournament day for all involved.
